Reclaiming the Lutheran Biblical View of Healing Ministry

A Workshop for Congregations, Pastoral Staff, Church Leaders, Professionals (nurses, physicians, etc) and Laity.

Pastor Ron Rehrer (Counselor for Professional Church Workers of our PSW District) and Pastor Bill Dasch (Texas District) will be presenting 8 workshops on Healing Prayer for the congregations and pastors of our district from January 18 through January 26, 2005.

Our Lord Jesus passed on to his disciples the command to preach, teach, and to heal. This third part of His command is the subject of our workshop. This will be an education/practical workshop, presenting a balanced, non-charismatic presentation with a special emphasis on Word and Sacrament for healing (spiritual, emotion, physical, relational healing) as well as perspective on the use of anointing with oil, constructing healing services, how to pray, the use of touch, and how to answer questions in the congregation. Pastor Rehrer and Pastor Dasch believe there is a high interest in prayer for healing throughout our Church, and they want to offer teaching and practical guidelines for this ministry.

This workshop is designed for the laity, pastors, and other professionals in our congregations (physicians, nurses, mental health practitioners, and others).

Registration Fee will be $25 for pastors and $10 for laity. A congregation may register for $100 and send as many members (church council, prayer teams, elders, others) as they wish, and this will also include the pastor's fee.

Workshop Times: At each church, 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. for pastors, professional, and laity. 7:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. for laity. Lunch will be on your own. Each congregation will provide coffee and water.
